The Experience
This month we're featuring Mule Coffee Roasters — a Colombian-focused roaster with a direct relationship with one of the most exciting farms in the country. Three coffees, all from the same farmer, each with its own character.
- La Bomba — Wild Berries / Passionfruit / Dark Chocolate (250g)
- Pink Bourbon — Cranberry / Florals / Sugar Cane (200g)
- Yellow Gesha — Citrus / Lemongrass / Plum (200g)
- Tote Bag — Cream & Mule Blue (38cm × 30cm)
Total: 650g across 3 individual packs + tote bag Free shipping across metro Australia
Sourcing Details
All three coffees are grown by César Buesaquillo at his farms in Buena Vista, Quindío, Colombia — cultivated at 1,800–2,200 metres above sea level.
La Bomba (Castillo · Anaerobic fermentation · 300 hours · 250g) Grown at Finca La Esmeralda inside a Colombian national park, this Castillo varietal undergoes 300 hours of anaerobic fermentation at 25°C — allowing the fruit's natural sugars to fully infuse into the bean. The result is a vibrant, complex cup with wild berry and passionfruit up front, and sweet dark chocolate on the finish. Sourced through direct trade with César.
Pink Bourbon (Pink Bourbon · Natural · 200g) The third batch from Finca La Esperanza — and the most refined yet. Natural processed, delicately fermented, and grown at 1,900–2,200 masl. Bright cranberry, florals, cacao nibs, and a finish of fresh sugar cane juice. Lighter than La Bomba, but just as memorable.
Yellow Gesha (Yellow Gesha · Washed · 200g) Also from Finca La Esperanza. This Yellow Gesha is roasted for alternative brewing — V60, AeroPress, or whatever slow ritual you're into. Expect balanced citrus acidity, lemongrass, sweet plum compote, and a touch of roasted fig.
The Logic
Each drop is built around one featured roaster — chosen for their craft, not their name.
The three coffees? The roaster picks — always the ones they're most proud of.
Every month brings a different roaster, a different story.
